JC Equestrian Club was founded with a simple mission: to share the transformative experience of horseback riding with the Mission, Texas community and beyond. What started as a private training and boarding facility has grown into a trusted riding school where riders of all ages and skill levels can feel confident, challenged, and connected.
From first-time riders to seasoned competitors, our goal is the same — help every student learn, grow, and enjoy the bond between rider and horse. We’re proud to offer riding lessons, horse boarding, trail rides, venue rental, and photoshoots in a relaxed, family-oriented environment where safety and horsemanship come first.

Meet Javier Cavazos: Owner & Head Instructor
At the heart of JC Equestrian Club is Javier Cavazos, a lifelong horseman, professional trainer, and dedicated riding instructor. With years of experience in both Western and English disciplines, Javier has trained riders from beginner levels all the way to competitive show circuits.
Javier’s hands-on, calm teaching style helps riders feel confident in the saddle while also understanding the fundamentals of horsemanship. He emphasizes safety, balance, and rider awareness — all while making lessons engaging and goal-driven.
His background includes:
- Years of experience training horses and riders for show, work, and recreational riding
- Knowledge across disciplines including
Western pleasure, reining, English flatwork, and trail
- Deep understanding of horse behavior, care, and training methods
- Passion for helping young riders develop lifelong confidence
From leading beginner lessons to coaching show competitors, Javier ensures each rider receives the personalized attention they need to succeed — both in and out of the arena.
